I ended my summer season with my most stressful wedding. Not only was I the planner but I was also a bridesmaid. I treat all of my weddings like they're my own special day but this one was extra special. It was my first best friend's wedding, my cousin Simone. She wanted an elegant affair with lots of dancing and good vibes. Family was the center of this 142 guest event and love and laughter filled the air all night. This beautiful event would not have happened without a great team. Ceremony: Mt. Pleasant Meeting House Reception: Executive Banquet & Conference Center Wedding Planner: Lady In Waiting Services, Solymar Bridal bouquet and centerpieces: Royal Weddings by Cathy Johnson Photographer: Dukk Fliks Photography DJ: DJ Tony B Wedding Cake: Bing's Bakery Bridesmaids: Brides and Grooms | Christina Wu Groom/Groomsmen: Men's Wearhouse Bridal: Jennifer's Bridal | Adriana by Matthew Christopher Hair: Bride- Dana Townsend, Bridesmaid- Denise Williams Makeup: Kymmi Alexus Makeup Artistry Getting Ready: DoubleTree by Hilton Becoming Mr. and Mrs. Joshua Morris! Simone and Josh's ceremony took place at the Mt. Pleasant Meeting House in Wilmington, DE. The couple and their bridal party were surrounded by love and cheers as they came down the aisle. Their crowd was different. It wasn't the traditional silent aw on the parade of beauty. The bridal party was shown just as much excitement as if we all were getting married that day. Eat, Drink and Be Married! These two really took in their moment. Even with a yucky rainy day, you would never know. They kept their smiles all day long. Who's ready to dance? By the time we reached the Executive Banquet and Conference Center, we all were ready to party. The new Mr. and Mrs. were dancing the minute they got out of the limo. Being the planner, I knew the night was filled with surprises. One being a special dance for the groom. Half the bridal party were her dance sisters so of course we cheered her on. I'm not so sure Josh was ready for Simone's moves. But he had something up his sleeve for her too. For a brief moment, the reception turned into a dance battle between the Mrs., the Groom and his groomsmen. It was a stellar night for the young couple. A night they will cherish forever.
